Naples, Fla. (Sept. 16, 2021) – Healthcare Network has received a $10,000 grant from Ronald McDonald House Charities® to support its Ronald McDonald Care Mobile®. Since 2004 the mobile pediatric unit has provided dental screenings, sealants, fluoride and school physicals to at-risk first and second grade students attending Collier County schools. The unit also provides services at after-school and Head Start programs, child development centers and a variety of family-oriented festivals.
“With this generous grant, we can continue to provide care directly to those who need it the most and bring healthy smiles to underserved children in our community,” said Amy Plassins, director of dental operations. “Many of the kids we serve face transportation, language and financial barriers making it extremely difficult to access affordable and quality care. With our mobile unit, we are ensuring children are staying healthy.”
