Naples, Fla. (July 21, 2021) – Healthcare Network, a nonprofit organization working to ensure primary medical care is accessible to everyone in the community, regardless of job, income or insurance status, is pleased to announce the promotion of Valerie Sattler, BSN, RN, to director of clinical education and performance assessment and Anahi Guerra, RN, to associate director of nursing.
Valerie Sattler, BSN, RN, Director of Clinical Education and Performance Assessment
In 2013, Sattler began her career at Healthcare Network as a clinical lead, where she focused on scheduling productivity and staff proficiency. Throughout her time with the organization, she has held and excelled in various roles including lead nurse, service line practice manager, quality manager and clinical educator.
In her new director role, Sattler will develop, plan, implement and coordinate clinical education services and clinical performance assessments to enhance the patient experience at Healthcare Network. Her first major project will be the creation and execution of a medical assistant training program. Healthcare Network employees, who wish to begin or advance their medical careers, can receive classroom study and hands-on learning opportunities to gain the knowledge and skills to perform the duties of a medical assistant.
“The newly created clinical education and performance position is essential to Healthcare Network’s strategic development and fosters a learning environment that encourages the professional and personal growth of our staff,” said Dr. Corin DeChirico, chief medical officer of Healthcare Network. “Meeting the challenges of a rapidly evolving healthcare industry, Healthcare Network is committed to quality care and overall patient satisfaction through initiatives like the medical assistant program. This role will be significant in ensuring our teams can continue to adequately and skillfully care for our community for years to come.”
Anahi Guerra, RN, Associate Director of Nursing
During her over five years at Healthcare Network, Guerra has been instrumental in piloting multiple projects to raise staff productivity, increase geriatric population management and improve workflows. In her latest role as infection prevention and employee health RN, Guerra was integral in Healthcare Network’s COVID-19 response as well as in the development of safety measures and policies to keep patients and staff protected during the pandemic.
As associate director of nursing, she will work directly with the director of nursing to manage the daily clinical operations of all Healthcare Network medical practices and assist in the planning and implementation of strategies to advance patient satisfaction and team effectiveness. She will continue to oversee the infection prevention program.
