Naples, Fla. (July 26, 2022) – Healthcare Network has received a $40,000 grant from Delta Dental Community Care Foundation to provide continued preventive, restorative, surgical and emergency dental services to children and adults who otherwise could not afford it and would likely go without care. In addition to their three conventional dental locations, the grant will also help fund the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile® and the Health & Smiles Mobile units, which bring dental care directly to migrant families and communities.
Since its inception in 2011, the Delta Dental Community Care Foundation – the philanthropic arm of Delta Dental Insurance Company – has awarded more than $100 million in grants to support various types of organizations treating the underserved, dental school scholarships, oral health education programs and scientific research projects.
“Delta Dental Community Care Foundation’s continued support for Healthcare Network allows us to break barriers for many underinsured and uninsured patients,” said Jamie Ulmer president and chief executive officer of Healthcare Network. “Receiving this grant means some of the most vulnerable individuals in our community will have access to essential dental services and oral health education.”
“We are proud to partner with Healthcare Network to support their important mission of providing beneficial healthcare and preventive care services to children and adults in need throughout Collier County,” said Kenzie Ferguson, vice president of foundation and corporate social responsibility for Delta Dental of California. “The partnership enables us to achieve our broader mutual goals of increasing access to oral health care, especially for the underserved, and helping to make the communities we serve stronger, healthier and more resilient.”
