Naples, Fla. (Oct. 13, 2021) – Healthcare Network has been awarded several Community Health Quality Recognition (CHQR) badges from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), whose programs provide healthcare to people who are geographically isolated or economically and medically vulnerable.
The distinctions include the Health Center Quality Leader Bronze badge, Advancing Health Information Technology for Quality badge and COVID-19 Data Reporter badge. The achievements show notable quality accomplishments in access, health equity and health information technology.
The Health Center Quality Leader Bronze badge awards the top 21-30% best overall clinical quality measure performance among all health centers in the country in 2020. Only 8.51% of the participating health centers awardees met the bronze badge criteria.
To receive the Advancing Health Information Technology for Quality badge, Healthcare Network met all criteria for advancing and improving telehealth, patient engagement, interoperability, and the collection of social determinants of health to increase access to care and excel in quality of care.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, HRSA created a new reporting requirement, the COVID-19 Data Reporter. The distinction recognizes Healthcare Network’s efforts in supporting data for public health emergencies with a response rate of 90% or more to the weekly Health Center COVID-19 Survey from April 2020 to July 2021. Only 29.4% of health centers achieved this recognition.
Additionally, AAAHC’s Institute of Quality Improvement also recognized Healthcare Network as best performer for medication reconciliation; a key to avoiding adverse drug events. The award demonstrates excellent performance in documentation of current medications and discontinuation of medication no longer in use. Healthcare Network achieved this by enhancing clinical and operational workflows.
