Continuing the Mission

Continuing the Mission

I have made the difficult decision to resign from my role as president and chief executive officer of Healthcare Network. I want to convey my profound gratitude for the many relationships I have made at Healthcare Network and in our community over the years. Thank you so much to our patients, staff, Board and community partners for the trust you have placed in me and our organization. Because of this trust and collaboration, I feel confident in where the organization is today.

It is important to share that I am not leaving the health center mission we all care so deeply about. I will be relocating with my husband to Colorado to serve as CEO for a large community health center, serving approximately 100,000 patients annually.

Over my more than eight years at Healthcare Network, I have witnessed and led the organization through many evolutions. Together, we have set the expectation for integrated, “whole-person” primary health care, and educated the community as to the profound impact Healthcare Network has in our local and regional area. We have also ensured a data-rich environment that allows for financial, quality and operational accountability, and just realized a successful HRSA (Health Resource Services Administration) compliance site visit thanks to the continuous dedication of our staff. Most importantly, we have successfully served the community during COVID-19, bringing testing, outreach, and life-saving vaccines to the people most in need. The organization is poised for continued success and tremendous community impact.

My transition out of the organization will be a work in progress but will occur in early spring of 2022. In the coming weeks, the board of directors plans to retain a national search firm to help recruit and hire my successor. This is a formal process that ensures stakeholder engagement at the organizational and community level. I can assure you that I am working collaboratively with the board to ensure a successful search, and I can also assure you that hiring a servant leader who cares deeply about the mission is of the utmost importance to them.

Thank you once again for your partnership. It has been a true privilege to serve as CEO, and I am so incredibly grateful and proud of all that we have accomplished. As Healthcare Network celebrates 45 years of serving the community this year, there is so much to look forward to!
