Treating the Whole Person – Body AND MIND
At Healthcare Network, we believe the best approach to wellness involves treating both the body and mind. That is why we care for our patients using the integrated care model, which allows patients to receive behavioral health services when they visit for adult, pediatric and women’s care services. We treat the whole person in one setting.
As part of the Healthcare Network care team, our behavioral health providers work closely with patients and their primary care providers to:
- Identify and treat traditional mental health concerns such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, etc.
- Promote healthy lifestyle and behavior change such as tobacco cessation, weight loss, stress management, etc.
- Adjust to social stressors or life cycle transitions
- Manage physical health conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, chronic pain, adherence issues, etc.
Direct Relief: Free Mental Health Support
for Essential Workers
Through an emergency grant from the medical aid organization Direct Relief, Healthcare Network is offering up to three free visits with mental health providers to help essential workers deal with stress caused by the pandemic.
Free mental health services are available to essential frontline workers and their families including but not limited to teachers, school employees, healthcare workers, protective service and first responders, grocery store workers, agricultural workers, janitors and maintenance workers, and restaurant workers in Southwest Florida.
The grant will support up to a total of 500 visits by March 31, 2021. Frontline workers who are interested in making an appointment with a mental healthcare professional via telehealth or in person should call 239.658.3000.

Alondra
Chest pains lead to important behavioral health diagnosis
“I was going through a difficult time,” said Alondra, a 12-year-old who suffered from anxiety-induced chest pains. “Dr. Whitt helped me put things into perspective and provided me with coping exercises that help me maintain a positive mindset when I am feeling stressed.” Remarkably, Alondra’s experience inspired her to join Students’ Alliance on Mental Illness (SAMI), where she and other students work to connect peers in need with mental health providers.
PAYMENT ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE
Healthcare Network provides payment assistance in the form of a Sliding Fee Scale. It’s one of many ways we are making healthcare more accessible to all.
