1977

Collier Health Services was founded on May 17, 1977, by community leaders in Immokalee to make quality medical care accessible to all. ​

1993

1993

To address the needs of the growing population, Collier Heath Services opened the Marion E. Fether Medical Center in Immokalee, which was completed in July 1993. ​Practices included adult, pediatric, women’s, and dental care as well as specialty, a practice focused chronic and infectious diseases.​

Gold Star

1995

Healthcare Network was awarded accreditation by The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). The three-year award verifies that a health care provider meets the most rigorous quality and safety standards of care for their patients and communities. Healthcare Network maintained accreditation from JCAHO from 1995 – 2007 when they switched accrediting agencies to the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC).

Successfully completed rigorous evaluation by Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). The three-year accreditation demonstrates the organization’s ongoing commitment to high-quality care and patient safety. Healthcare Network has voluntarily sought AAAHC accreditation since 1995 and was most recently re-accredited in August 2019.

Collier Health Services opens adult care practice at iTECH, Immokalee Technical College

In response to a county commission-appointed study on the accessibility of healthcare to Collier County residents, Collier Health Services opened its first primary care medical practice in east Naples.

Healthcare Network has grown from two small trailers in Immokalee to a comprehensive network of providers located throughout Collier County. Always sensitive to growing needs, leadership continues to seek ways to increase access and primary health services for everyone in our community, regardless of income or insurance status.
